End Of Week 2
This week was very challenging, ballet and tap's technique was increased. I actually found myself in fatigue after ballet class, my legs quivering as i was walking home from class. During class I found myself having to feel my pelvis in line like i did in conditioning class. I shifted the same way i would in an organic setting in modern class in ballet so all training in Brockport comes full circle. By the end of the week i felt more and more connected with the movement like its less being taught and more like its second nature.

Conditioning Day 1

Today I learned the way brockport does there style of movement. I was taken out of the technique I usually do and brought into a world of "continuous movement". Everything flowed together and you danced in what I call a "Run-on-Sentence" technique. We learned to move without using the feet placement we have been taught, so I stepped out of my first, second and fourth position into normal foot placement. The way they teach is very unique and is good for becoming one with your body so I do like it. I just think it should be taught first out of all techniques so a dancer becomes aware of there placement first, and then they move onto a more balletic style.
